IMD has issued ‘Orange Alert’ for 10 districts of the state amid increasing rains in Odisha. Umashankar Das, Senior Scientist, Bhubaneswar, said on September 11, ‘Heavy rain activity will continue even today. There is a possibility of widespread rain in Odisha. We have issued orange alert in 10 districts. There is a possibility of 70 to 200 mm of rain. It can also cause landslides in mountainous areas. The lying areas can also become submerged. ,
