IMD Weather Forecast: Heavy rain, thunderstorm in these areas in next 24 hours

New Delhi : at the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Saturday It is predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur over the Western Himalayan region in the next 48 hours.

There is also a possibility of strong thunderstorms in the central part of India between January 8-12. The same situation will prevail in East India between January 10-13.

“Isolated heavy rain or snowfall is likely over Himachal Pradesh on 9th and Uttarakhand on 8th and 9th January,” an official statement said.

The Meteorological Department mentioned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh on 8 January and Odisha on 12 January 2022.

The statement further warned that there is a possibility of lightning, hailstorm in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh on January 8.

Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Telangana will be affected by similar conditions on January 10 and 11.

Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal on 11th; On January 11 and 12, Odisha will face thunderstorm, lightning and hailstorm.

Dense fog is very likely to occur at night and morning at isolated places over Bihar, Rajasthan and on January 9 and 10 over Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh during the next two days on January 8 and 9, the statement said.
