Virat Kohli was adjudged the Man of the Match for the first time in IPL 2022 after registering an 8-wicket win for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.
Virat Kohli said he is happy to have contributed to a crucial win for RCB, who needed a win to finish the league stage with 16 points, and added that he could just keep going and insisted there was no problem. Wasn’t.

“I batted 90 minutes in the nets yesterday (Wednesday). I came very free and relaxed,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
Virat Kohli said that he felt himself with the bat with the very first shot to Mohammed Shami and then went on to register his highest score of the season.
“With Shami’s very first shot, I thought I could hit the fielder’s head. I knew tonight was the night I could kick. It’s wonderful that I got so much support in this edition.” I am forever grateful for the love I have never seen before.” Kohli said.

On Thursday, RCB captain Faf du Plessis said that Virat Kohli is training hard in the nets. Kohli had said before the match against GT that he was open to the idea of taking a break but the team management backed him to continue to do well.
“Virat was working hard in the nets. I role play with him and pump him up. He has a lot of emotions and he pulls you in. It’s like you’re playing a rugby game,” du Plessis star Told Sports.
In the game against Punjab Kings last week, Virat Kohli had a quick start but failed to put up a good show despite making a start. However, it all went well for the former RCB captain, who could now be powerful if RCB makes it to the playoffs provided other results go their way.
