IND vs PAK: Akhtar furious over Sehwag’s ‘baap baap hota hai’ statement

‘Baap is father, son is son’ – Quote by former India cricketer Virender Sehwag Shoaib Akhtar, the great bowler of Pakistan Cricket is one of the most famous moments of the match and is quite popular among Indian fans. Since Sehwag has revealed the conversation between the two cricketers, the quote has been used by fans to refer to the India vs Pakistan clash.

Recently, the same quote did not go down well with Akhtar in a TV news debate when an anchor repeated the line. Shoaib was furious and also denied that he did not remember Sehwag actually saying that. He later requested the anchor to maintain the standard of respect and speak about the game of cricket in the meaning of cricket itself. “Firstly, if he had said this on my face, he would not have been a child. Even once asked him in Bangladesh if he said so or not, he refused. Secondly, we should celebrate these occasions. One should celebrate and talk about cricket instead of doing this. I respect India a lot, I respect you too and I never say such things which can create differences between the two countries,” Akhtar said. Told Indian news anchor.
