India achieves major milestone of 200 crore Kovid-19 vaccination

New Delhi: In a historic achievement, India has given over 200 crore doses of covid-19 vaccines For its population on Sundays since the country began a nationwide vaccination campaign on January 16 last year.

“As per provisional reports till 1 pm today, a total of 2,00,0015,631 doses have been given across the country. This has been achieved through 2,63,26,111 sessions,” the Union Health Ministry said in a statement.

During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Congratulations to the countrymen for this important achievement. He called India’s vaccination campaign “unique in scale and speed”.

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya also congratulated the nation for achieving this feat in just 18 months. He said that “this extraordinary achievement will be inscribed in history”.

In the last 24 hours, India has reported 20,528 new COVID cases, taking the total number of active cases to 1,43,449. According to the Health Ministry, around 17,790 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

The country has so far conducted a total of more than 86.94 crore tests for the diagnosis of Kovid infection while 3,92,569 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
