India beat West Indies by seven wickets in the third T20 International to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series here on Tuesday.

India chased down a target of 165 runs with six balls to spare with Suryakumar Yadav’s innings of 76 off 44 balls. Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 33 off 26 balls.

For West Indies, Akeel Hossein, Dominic Drakes and Jason Holder Took one wicket each.

India won the first T20 match by 68 runs and lost the second match by five wickets.

Earlier, invited to bat, West Indies scored 164 for 5 in their stipulated 20 overs against India.

Opener Kyle Meyers scored 73 runs in 50 balls for West Indies, while Rovman Powell scored 23 runs.
