“India has ended 3 decades of instability by pressing the button”: PM in Germany

PM Modi said that after 30 years in 2014, a government with full majority was elected.

India has ended the politically unstable environment of the past three decades by pressing a button, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday while interacting with the Indian diaspora at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.

PM Modi began his address by saying that he is neither in the German capital to talk about himself nor the Modi government.

He said, “I want to talk to you about the capabilities of crores of Indians and glorify them. When I talk of crores of Indians, it includes not only the people who live there, but the people who live here.” are also involved.”

The Prime Minister said that his words include all the children of Maa Bharati living in every nook and corner of the world.

PM Modi said, “The people of India ended the politically unstable environment of the last three decades at the press of a button. After 30 years, a government with absolute majority was elected in 2014 and the people of India strengthened the government in 2019. “

“We are celebrating 75 years of independence this year. I am the first prime minister who was born in independent India. The peak India will be when it celebrates 100 years of independence, India is firmly marching step by step. Fast towards the target,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that his government is changing the country through reforms.

He said, “Reforms need political will. Today India is moving ahead in quality of life, quality of education and all other areas. Country, bureaucracy, government offices are same but now we are getting better results.”

This address to the Indian community was given soon after the 6th India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultation, co-chaired by PM Modi and Chancellor Scholz.

The Prime Minister said that inter-governmental consultations were productive.

PM Modi also held a bilateral meeting with Chancellor Scholz today. It was their first engagement since Chancellor Scholz took office in December 2021.

The discussions covered key areas of bilateral cooperation under the overall strategic partnership as well as regional and global development.
