‘India, Kenya great friends’ — snapshots of Kenyan President’s ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan

New Delhi: Kenyan President William Ruto, who is on a two-day state visit to India, was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan Tuesday by President Droupadi Murmu in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several ministers of the Union Cabinet, besides Chief of the Air Staff V.R. Chaudhari, among others.

Ruto hailed ties between India and Kenya as that of two “great friends” and said he expected the two countries to “consolidate” this relationship.

Later in the day, PM Modi and President Ruto of Kenya held wide-ranging bilateral talks at Hyderabad House here aimed at deepening the partnership between the two countries.
