Moreover, the country’s Omicron tally rose to 3,623, according to data released by the government early Sunday. Several states including Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Maharashtra and Bengal have imposed night and weekend curfews to reduce the spread of infection. Meanwhile, in the United Kingdom, the official death toll from the COVID-19 pandemic surpassed 150,000 on Saturday.
