The lefthander, however, did not panic as he scored 29 runs in 46 balls.

But it was followed by a creative and calculative approach by the middle-order duo of Markram and Hendrix, who were happy to spend time, play dot balls and build a partnership.
From the 20th over onwards, they carried it on, picking up odd boundaries in every over and in no time they reached their respective fifties – Hendricks in 58 balls and Markram in 64 balls.
Hendricks caught Kuldeep at wide long on in the 27th over as he began to make his intention clear.
But thankfully for India, Hendricks was dismissed on a loose short-pitched delivery from Siraj.
