To ensure a bio-secure environment in South Africa, the Indian team will be staying in a resort instead of luxurious hotels for their upcoming tour of the Rainbow Nation.
The Indian team will leave for South Africa from Mumbai on the afternoon of 16 December. It is a matter of relief for the players that on reaching Johannesburg, they will not have to do any kind of quarantine.
“It is important that both teams stay in a place where there are no other guests. Even the India ‘A’ and South Africa ‘A’ teams were kept in a hotel where there were no other guests. A resort gives players and their families breathing space. They can indulge in outdoor activities and cannot be confined to closed premises.” BCCI The source said.
