Team India made a winning start in the first T20I against West Indies as the Rohit Sharma-led side produced an all-round performance to register a comprehensive 68-run victory. Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik Runs were found to help India post 190 runs on the board and then the bowlers worked collectively to reduce West Indies to 122/8. Shreyas Iyer Came on with a brilliant fielding in the fifth over of the innings and the attempt was denied Nicholas Pooran six on the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin,
On the first ball of the fifth over, Pooran decided to attack Ashwin and he came on the track and tossed the ball into the air. Iyer, stationed at the deep mid-wicket fence, was lying on his right side to take the catch, but his right foot was just millimeters from the fence.
So, Iyer decided to throw the ball back into the playing area and West Indies had to be content with just two runs.
