Shri Goyal emphasized that Tamil Nadu will become the largest center for manufacturing of textiles, pumps, weight grinders, critical components etc. in the world and will boost the economic development of the nation. Shri Goyal highlighted the various policy initiatives taken by the government and the hard work put in by the industry to achieve exports of $440 billion.

He said that the country will very soon go from the level of 3 trillion economy to 30 trillion economy and the government is aggressively addressing all structural issues including tariff barriers, taxation issues, global competition etc.

The Minister advised all the stakeholders in the value chain to work hard, stay united and thus become the largest manufacturing country in the world. He invited all the young and women entrepreneurs to come forward to invest and contribute to the development of the nation.

Sharing the plan to manufacture uniforms for defense personnel in India, the Minister said, “We have decided to support SITRA (supply of better tool-kits to rural artisans) so that they can produce more defense related products that Will help our soldiers on the border. , The uniform has to be manufactured in India instead of being imported.
