Indian Army helicopter crash kills both pilots in Arunachal, debris recovered
An Indian Army helicopter crashed near Mandla in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng accident on Thursday morning. The pilot and co-pilot of the helicopter were killed in the accident. Both the pilots – Lt Col VVB Randi and Major Jayant A. He had gone missing earlier. According to the army, the helicopter lost contact with the air traffic controller at 9:15 am. Subsequently, five search teams of the Indian Army, Sashastra Seema Bal and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were sent in search of the helicopter. Its debris was found near village Banglajap in Mandla. The army has said that a court of inquiry is being conducted to ascertain the cause of the accident.

The helicopter was loaded at 9 am from Sange village in the district and was on its way to Misamari in Sonitpur district of Assam. It had a lieutenant and a lead rider. Lieutenant Colonel Anya Rawat said that the helicopter lost contact with the air traffic control (ATC) at around 9.15 am.
Superintendent of Police, Investigation Branch, Rohit Rajbir Singh had told that the special accident spot in Dirang had seen the accident burning and had informed the officials of the district administration. He told that there is no ‘mobile message’ in that area and there is so much fog that the viewer component human is five meters away.
