Indian climber who climbed Mount Everest missing near China border

Two Indian climbers from Arunachal Pradesh – Tapi Mara and Niku Dao, who recently climbed Mount Everest, are now missing for the past seven days.

Sri was the first person from Arunachal to climb Everest. Both Mira and Dao have not been traced during an expedition to Mount Khyrisattam in East Kameng district on the border with China.

Talking to media persons, Arunachal’s Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Mama Natung said, “They are missing for the last seven days. We have called the helicopters of the Indian Army but the operation has been stopped due to bad weather.”

“We have directed the administration to launch the search and rescue operation on foot. We have decided to deploy our assistant director along with the search and rescue operations team of East Kameng district administration,” Natung said.

Mountaineering and paragliding associations have also appealed to Chief Minister Pema Khandu for help in locating 37-year-old Mr.

Tapi Mra climbed the world’s highest peak on 21 May 2009.

Earlier, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu had wished for Tapi’s safety and the state sports department is ready with a plan to trace her.

“My prayers for the safety of Tapi Mira, the first person from Arunachal to scale Mount Everest, who was allegedly missing along with a porter during an expedition to Mount Khyrisattam in #East Kameng district last week. State Sports Department Address Ready with a plan to put Mr.,” he said in a tweet.
