Indian Navy announces vacancies for civilian posts, 9 of them are for cooks

The salary offered ranges between Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200.

Of these, five are in Kochi, two in Aluva and the last two in the Lakshadweep Islands, the Defense Ministry said.

Headquarters Southern Command of the Indian Navy has released applications for the recruitment of civilian personnel and the last date to apply for these is 20 June. This recruitment is for the post of Cook. Ministry of Defense has released the notification which states that the number of openings are 9. Of these, five are in Kochi, two are in Alwaye and the last two are in the Lakshadweep islands. Selected candidates on these posts will be paid the pay scale prescribed by the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Applicants have to write all their information in the prescribed format on A-4 size plain paper. All the documents should be affixed with the color photograph of the applicant and attached with the application. After placing it in an envelope, the applicant must superscribe on the envelope “APPLICATION FOR COOK (BY ABSORPTION)”. The next step is to send it through speed post.

Salary ranges from Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200. If one has good skills, he/she can get a well paying job in Navy. Along with this, he will also get the allowances of a government job, although he will not get the allowances of being a Navy officer.

Vigilance clearance certificate.

Integrity Certificate.

Details of major/minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last ten years.

Cadre clearance certificate.

Self-attested copies of certificates/ mark sheets in support of educational/ technical/ other qualifications. Original certificates/mark sheets should be produced on demand.

One passport size photograph duly attested on the reverse (by the present employer) should be pinned along with the application
