Indian Railways: IRCTC launches New Year’s Pondicherry package with Tirupati Balaji Darshan from Kolkata; Check Complete Itinerary, Other Details

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the ‘New Year Pondicherry Package with Tirupati Balaji Darshan’ of 4 nights/5 days covering Kolkata, Chennai, Tirupati, Kancheepuram, Pondicherry and Mahabalipuram. NS Indian Rail The tour package will start from 29 December 2021 to 2 January 2022. According to the IRCTC website, only 20 tourists can participate in this package.

The fee for the journey originating from Kolkata will be Rs 45,180 per adult, while the twin portion will cost Rs 34,710 per person for an adult. For those booking tickets for three adults, the fare will be Rs 32,760 per person.

The fare per child (2 years to 4 years) without extra bed will be Rs 19,560, while the cost for a child of 5 years to 11 years with extra bed will be Rs 19,810.

COVID-19 related guidelines

IRCTC has issued an advisory to ensure the safety of tourists in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. According to the IRCTC website, thermal screening of all passengers will be done, rules related to COVID will be updated from time to time and e-registration is mandatory.

5 things to remember before starting the journey:

1. All passengers will have to download the Aarogya Setu App.

2. RTPCR negative test report within 48 hours of travel will continue to be mandatory. Any passenger who does not have RTPCR negative report will be sent back to the original place on the same day.

3. Handwritten report is not acceptable.

4. Any passenger arriving without RT-PCR negative test report will be deported on the same flight.

5. Passengers will not be allowed to collect their checked-in baggage in the arrival hall. The same will be handed over to them at the testing center.

29 December: Kolkata – Chennai – Tirupati: Arrival at Chennai airport at 11:20 am. Transfer to Tirupati and check in at hotel. Visit Shri Kalahasti (Lord Shiva) Temple and Devi Shri Padmavati Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in Tirupati.

December 30: Tirupati – Pondicherry: After breakfast visit Tirumala (Lord Balaji Temple) temple. After lunch check out from hotel start your journey to Pondicherry, on the way visit Kancheepuram. On arrival check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Pondicherry.

31st December: Pondicherry: Pondicherry Sightseeing after breakfast, visit to Aurobindo Ashram, Manakula Vinayagar Temple, Promenade Beach, Chunnambar Boat House, Pondicherry Beach. Evening free for shopping and your activities. New Year party in Pondicherry with unlimited gala buffet dinner and overnight stay.
