India registers robust growth in direct tax collections… MoreIndia has registered a strong growth in direct tax collections for the financial year FY23. The net collection stood at Rs 16.61 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2023, registering a growth of 17.63%. The collection is Rs 2.41 lakh crore more than the budget estimate. India’s direct tax collection for the last financial year i.e. FY22 was Rs 14.12 lakh crore.
