India’s Kaushal Tambe had a touching moment ICC U19 World Cup Final Against England on Saturday when he dropped a simple catch before recovering to take a one-handed stunner. Tambe was fielding at deep square leg when England james rave, batting for 95, pulled a ball from Ravi Kumar towards him. Tambe nearly dropped the ball while trying to take a catch, but recovered in time to jump ahead and took a brilliant one-handed catch to send Rev back to the pavilion. The dismissal was significant as it broke England’s 93-run stand for the fourth wicket and India took the remaining two wickets for just five runs.

In the final, Raj Bawa took five wickets and Ravi took four as India bowled out England for 189.

England played a smoky innings in the first half of the innings before Rev’s grueling half-century helped the team reach 189.

Opting to bat first, England had the worst start as India bowler Ravi took two wickets (Jacob Bethel and Tom Prest) in the first four overs.

George Thomas and Rev tried to build up the partnership but Bawa dismissed the opener as India took control of the game.

England kept losing wickets at regular intervals and soon went down 61-6 in the 17th over.

Meanwhile, Ray worked hard and scored a half-century to save England from a precarious position

Reeve and James Sells put on a fifty-run partnership to revive England’s innings. However, as soon as Ravi was dismissed in the 44th over, Rev fell five runs behind a century.

Reeve’s wicket fell and England lost two more wickets to set a target of 190 for India in the Under-19 World Cup final.
