Inflation at manageable level, says finance minister – Times of India

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala sitharaman Said on Saturday that inflation is at a manageable level. His comment came a day later reserve Bank of India 50 basis points hike in interest rate to control inflation

The central bank is mandated to keep retail inflation in the 2-6 per cent band. Inflation has remained above the RBI’s upper tolerance level of 6 per cent since January 2022.
Inflation reached 7 per cent last month.
Speaking at the annual day celebrations of regulator IBBI, Sitharaman, who is also the minister for corporate affairs, said: “We are in an era of strong economic activity”.
