Infosys Q2 profit up 11.9% to ₹5,421 cr, raises revenue forecast for FY22

The Bengaluru-based company saw its revenue grow 20.5% to Rs 29,602 crore in the quarter under review (Q2FY22), as against ₹ 24,570 crore in the year-ago period.

India’s second largest IT services company, Infosys on Wednesday said its consolidated net profit rose 11.9% to Rs 5,421 crore for the September 2021 quarter.

According to a regulatory filing, Infosys had posted a net profit of ₹4,845 crore in the same period last fiscal.

The Bengaluru-based company saw its revenue grow 20.5% to Rs 29,602 crore in the quarter under review (Q2FY22), as against ₹ 24,570 crore in the year-ago period.

Infosys raised its FY12 revenue growth guidance to 16.5-17.5%.

Earlier, the company had guided for growth of 14-16% in constant currency terms for the fiscal year ended March 2022.

Salil Parekh, CEO and MD, Infosys said, “Our stellar performance and strong growth outlook continue to demonstrate our strategic focus and the strength of our digital offerings.”

The company said in a statement that the board has declared an interim dividend of ₹15 per share for FY22.

“Our operating margin for the second quarter was resilient; the impact of enhanced employee value proposition initiatives was offset by stronger operating parameters, cost optimization and operating leverage,” said Nilanjan Roy, Chief Financial Officer, Infosys.
