Instagram will prompt users before typing a comment on other people’s posts.

Now, a new notification will encourage users to stop and think about how they want to react before replying to an offensive comment.

Instagram has rolled out updates to hidden words as well as new features to protect users from abuse. Now if you block someone, you will have the option to block additional accounts, which may make it difficult for them to connect with you again, the company said in a blogpost.

Based on findings from earlier tests for this new change, the company expects to block four million fewer accounts each week as these accounts will now be blocked automatically. Since its launch last year, more than one in five people with at least 10,000 followers have turned on the Hidden Words feature.

Hidden Words is an effective tool for automatically removing harmful content from message requests and comments. According to the company, an average of 40 percent fewer comments can be offensive.

The company is starting a trial to turn on Hidden Words automatically for Creator accounts. Each user will be able to toggle the settings on or off at any time and create a customized list with additional words, phrases, and emoji that they want to hide.

Now, a new notification will encourage users to stop and think about how they want to react before replying to an offensive comment. The company said the application reminds people to be respectful in direct chat when sending a message request to a creator.
