International Travel Guidelines: Countries Indians Can Travel to

Are you planning to travel and wondering where you can go, given the pandemic restrictions? Well, here’s what you need to know about countries that have started international travel in the post-pandemic times to boost their tourism:

The whole world witnessed a tough time with the dreadful Covid-19 battle. Most of 2020 and 2019 were spent in either lockdown or quarantine. Many countries like US, UK had banned international travel, and there were many people who could not go back to India and vice versa.

However, now, vaccination is complete and countries have allowed international travel, there is a big relief.

United States of america

The US will begin international travel on November 8 for fully vaccinated travelers who must show a negative RT-PCR test and complete vaccination proof. Further guidelines for unaffiliated persons are yet to be announced.

United Kingdom

Fully vaccinated Indians need not be quarantined but will have to show vaccination certificate and undergo RT-PCR test on the second day of arrival.

Thailand

From November 1, fully vaccinated citizens from 10 countries (considered low-risk) will be allowed to enter Thailand with a negative RT-PCR test without quarantine. But Indians will have to show two RT-PCR tests during their 7-day quarantine; The first on arrival and the second on 6-7 days; Next to the vaccination certificate.

Bahrain

Bahrain will allow vaccination visitors from certain countries. RT-PCR tests are mandatory for fully vaccinated Indians (eligible for Visa on Arrival) on arrival, on the fifth day of arrival and on the tenth day after arrival.

Chile

Chile has also made it mandatory for travelers to have a complete vaccination certificate and a negative RT-PCR report. Note that your vaccine has to be approved by the Chilean Public Health Institute, WHO, the United States Food and Drug Administration, or the European Medicines Agency.

Sri Lanka

Non-vaccinated passengers should be quarantined in a government-approved hotel for 14 days (with RT-PCR test on arrival and exit of the quarantined). Whereas fully vaccinated Indians will have to show RT-PCR test (done before 72 hours) and vaccination certificate in Sri Lanka.
