Investors’ wealth increased by over ₹6.09 lakh crore in four days

New Delhi Equity investors became rich 6,09,840.74 crore in four days of market rally, where the benchmark reached its new closing level on Tuesday.

Moving for the fourth straight session on Tuesday, the BSE 30-share benchmark index jumped 148.53 points or 0.25% to hit its fresh closing peak of 60,284.31.

The benchmark has gained 1,094.58 points in four days.

The market capitalization of companies listed on BSE jumped during this period. To reach a record high of Rs 6,09,840.74 crore 2,68,30,387.79 crore on Tuesday.

“Equity markets opened on a weak note and witnessed volatility along with weak global cues. However, some buying interest was witnessed in the indices in the late hours and green near the day’s high but higher crude oil prices and weak rupee. The session ended in color. Profit,” said Siddharth Khemka, Head – Retail Research, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd.

Titan was the biggest gainer, rising over 5%, followed by Bajaj Auto, SBI, Bajaj Finserv, Nestle India and ITC.

In contrast, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cement and TCS were among the laggards.

In the broader market, midcap and smallcap indices rose up to 0.65%.
