Narinder Batra recently participated in the Queens Baton Relay for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games last Wednesday.

Indian Olympic Association President Narinder Batra and his wife have tested positive for COVID-19, the IOA chief said on Sunday. Both Batra and his wife are asymptomatic.

In a WhatsApp message, the top IOA official said, “Chetna and I have tested positive for COVID in the asymptomatic category today on January 16. To all our family, friends and colleagues who have come in contact with us since January 14, Request you to kindly get it.” Checked myself.

“We have been asked to remain in quarantine till Saturday, January 22. We are available over the phone,” Batra said. Batra’s father had tested positive for COVID-19 in May, 2020 along with two of his attendants and several security guards posted at his house.

Batra recently participated in the Queens Baton Relay for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games here on Wednesday when Tokyo Olympic silver medalist wrestler Ravi Dahiya opened the symbolic race.
