Liam Livingstone hits 1000th six of IPL 2022
IPL Have seen players reach various milestones, break and set records. But this is the first time in the league that 1000 maximum smashes have been done so far.
In the match between SRH and PBKS prior to the qualifiers, Liam Livingstone hit a historic six to increase the total. He is also the player to hit the longest six of 117 meters in this edition.
This is the most number of sixes hit in any edition of the IPL so far.
Following are the players who hit the most number of sixes in IPL season:
2018 – 872 sixes in 60 matches
2019 – 784 sixes in 60 matches
2020 – 734 sixes in 60 matches
2012 – 732 sixes in 75 matches
2014 – 714 sixes in 60 matches
This year Rajasthan Royals has hit 116 sixes in 1000 sixes. He is followed by Kolkata Knight Riders with 113 sixes and Punjab Kings third with 109 sixes. The teams that contributed the least number of sixes are Gujarat Titans with 69 sixes and Royal Challengers Bangalore with 86 sixes.
