There is less than a day left in the IPL 2022 auction and every IPL franchise is preparing for the right strategy. It is a big auction as all the established teams have had to drop the players who make up the core group. Teams like Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have been successful over the years owing to a tight core which they have managed to maintain. While these two teams and others have retained some key players, they have had to drop several key players as well and this gives other teams a turnaround to field them during the IPL mega auction to be held in Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday. .
Two new teams, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, will be participating in the IPL auction for the first time and they would like to bring many of these established names to their teams as well. While mock auctions are part of the preparations in most franchises, many teams have asked fans to send in the names of players they think should be part of the team.
