Engineer-turned-cricketer Shahbaz Ahmed has also impressed with his batting so far.
On the bowling front, Josh Hazlewood bowled an exceptional spell against DC which turned the match in RCB’s favor and the Australian pacer would be keen to continue in the same vein.
Along with Hazlewood, Sri Lanka leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga will be crucial in stopping Rahul and Co, while death overs specialist Harshal Patel will also have to play his part fully if RCB aim to contain a powerful LSG batting unit.
On the other hand, Rahul (235 runs) led the new players brilliantly. The captain himself is in excellent form. He registered his first century of the season against Mumbai and sat in the leading run-scorers chart only behind Rajasthan Royals’ Jos Buttler (272 runs).
