Chasing a tough target of 208 runs, Sunrisers had a poor start and at the end of the seventh over, they were reduced to three runs for just 37 runs as Abhishek Sharma (7) and Rahul Tripathi (22) and also the captain. Kane Williamson (4) got out early. Despite some heroic efforts, they fall short in the end. Aiden Markram (42 off 25 balls) and Nicholas Pooran (62 off 34 balls).

It was a really bad day at the office for young Malek, who took a five-wicket haul against Gujarat Titans on April 27, as he conceded 52 runs without a wicket. Warner hit Malik for two fours and a six in the fourth over, scoring 21 runs as Capitals ended the powerplay at 50 for 2, with Warner contributing 31.
