Sunrisers Hyderabad Stand-in Captain Bhuvneshwar KumarR was satisfied with his performance in the IPL as managing his injuries became a “challenge” for his team in an otherwise disappointing season.
After winning five consecutive games out of the first seven, Sunrisers Hyderabad finished eighth in the 10-team IPL table after losing six of the next seven.
“For me, it was a challenging season with injuries bothering me, I felt I did a good job and will come back better next season,” Kumar said in a post-match presentation.
As far as the positivity of the season is concerned, Umran Malik And the emergence of Abhishek Sharma bodes well for the franchise, said the senior India seamer.
“We had many positives, Umran Malik and Abhishek Sharma were the obvious positives, but we have a good core of batting with Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran coming in very well,” he said.
But he advised the team management.
“We have to look at our squad and the management will have to work on the weaknesses before next season. We won five on the bounce and gained momentum, but it didn’t go our way and we lost quite a bit of all our matches in the second half of the tournament. ”
