IPL 2022 Mega Auction: ₹10 cr club goes big

Several Indian stars Ishan Kishan, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel and Shreyas Iyer have emerged victorious in the two-day auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) that began in Bengaluru on Saturday. 10 crore hurdle. Among the overseas players, Sri Lankan bowling sensation Wanindu Hasaranga has been selected by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). 10.75 crores. England batsman Liam Livingstone made a great deal of 11.50 crores from Punjab King.

Former South African all-rounder Chris Morris holds the record for the most expensive purchase in IPL history. Rajasthan Royals paid 16.25 crore for Morris in the IPL auction last year. The most expensive Indian buy record is still held by all-rounder Yuvraj Singh when he was bought by Delhi Daredevils. 16 crore in 2015.

The IPL 2022 auction saw participation from two new additions, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans. To reset their teams after the teams retained some of their top players, bids for 600 foreign and Indian players to fill 217 places in the auction.

Five-time champion Mumbai Indians bought back wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan 15.25 crores while holder Chennai Super Kings forked out 14 crores to keep Indian all-rounder Deepak Chahar.
