IPL 2022 Mega Auction: Fast bowlers steal the show

The two-day mega auction that began on Saturday saw the franchises go all out to buy the fast bowlers and they were seen picking both Indian and foreign fast bowlers at hefty prices. Deepak Chahar was the most expensive fast bowler bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a huge price 14 crores.

On the second day of the auction, England’s Liam Livingstone became the highest paid overseas player as Punjab Kings continued to pay 11.5 crores. England fast bowler Jofra Archer bought by Mumbai Indians 8 crore during the quick run of the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction on Sunday.

Other fast bowlers who did well in the auction include Shardul Thakur who was bought by Delhi Capitals for 10.75 cr, by RCB Harshal Patel 10.75 crores Uncapped India player Avesh Khan was bought by Lucknow Super Giants 10 crore, famous Krishna for 10 crores by RR.

New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson got 10 crores from Gujarat Titans, Kagiso Rabada got paid among foreign players who got huge amount during the auction 9.25 crores by Punjab Kings, Trent Boult is getting 8 crores from RR and Pat Cummins 7.25 crores from Kolkata Knight Riders.

KKR picked fast bowler Shivam Mavi 7.25 crores. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) spent 14 crores to buy fast bowler Deepak Chahar. Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was sold by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for 4.2 crores after the bidding war between SRH, Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians. Left arm fast bowler Chetan Sakaria bought by Delhi Capitals 4.2 crore

Jaydev Unadkat bought by Mumbai Indians 1.30 crores and fast bowler Navdeep Saini has been acquired by RR 2.60 crores on the second day of the mega auction.
