IPL 2022: Twitter testing new Cricket tab for Android users – Times of India

As IPL 2022 is on, Twitter has announced that it is testing a new Cricket tab on its Explore page. The company will launch experimental tabs in India for some people who use Twitter on Twitter Android, According to Twitter, the tab will be a single landing point that will serve as a channel to discover what is happening in cricket.
Those with access to the tab will be able to view the content in a variety of formats. The tab will allow users to follow match scores on Twitter along with a live scorecard. The tab will give fans access to content widgets such as top players and team rankings. Twitter will also partner with broadcast and creator partners to bring you customized video content, including in-match moments, highlights and off-field action.
According to the company, 75% of people on Twitter in India identify as cricket fans and 58% play the game. Between January 2021 and January 2022, 4.4 million Indians shared 96.2 million tweets about cricket on Twitter.
“By providing an immersive experience through our new cricket experiment, we want to make it easy for cricket fans in India to find relevant and engaging content as well as encourage interaction and get the latest updates including scores, all in one place. Huh.” Director of Product Shirish Andhare said Twitter India on a new experiment.
