Handling youngsters in the death overs is a ‘challenge’ and Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is looking to the experienced Dwayne Bravo to help him.

Along with Dhoni, Bravo has been a part of some of CSK’s best wins in the Indian Premier League.

“It’s a tough one for the youngsters. But they are working hard. Bravo is one of the specialists. Under his leadership, the bowlers’ confidence will grow. It is a team game. Coaches, bowling coach and senior players guide them. ” Dhoni said after his team’s eight-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore here on Monday.

Dhoni has been impressed with Shivam Dube’s footwork against spinners but said he needs to work on his batting against pacers.

In the team’s match against RCB, Dube scored 52 off 27 balls. After scoring 226 for six, CSK emerged victorious by eight runs.

“Dube is a clean hitter, tall guy with good reach. He has an issue with fast bowlers but he is a clean hitter against spinners. We had a few plans for him. We think he is someone who can deliver. Can do He needs Dhoni said at the presentation ceremony, ‘ Believes in him more than us.

CSK were worried till the pair of RCB skipper Faf du Plessis (62 off 33 balls) and Glenn Maxwell (76 off 36 balls) were at the crease.

“Whenever you score 220, the batsmen need to keep hitting. If Faf and Maxi had continued, they would have won it till the 18th over. I keep assessing from behind the wicket, I always I am involved in what needs to be done.” More than thinking about the result.” Devon Conway scored a 45-ball 83 as CSK restricted RCB to 218 for eight, while Dube smashed a blistering 27-ball 52.

RCB skipper du Plessis said, “I think we played it perfectly, were determined to finish the last five overs. DK is finishing the game, it’s his bread and butter, but it shows Shows how good his bowling was.”

“200 was going to be par, we went for a few runs towards the end. We could have minimized the damage by restricting them (for less than 20 an over).”

“The last four overs set up for a perfect finish. It was one of those wickets, one of the best (for the batsmen). You need to be skilful as a bowler, Siraj was unbelievable.

“We couldn’t manage to finish it but we went ahead. I lost a bit of power towards the end, I was disappointed because I got stiff. Need to work hard against the spinners in the middle overs. ”
