IPL Auction 2022: David Warner bought by Delhi Capitals for ₹6.25 crore

Australian opener David Warner was bought by Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction on Saturday.

The IPL 2022 mega auction is taking place in Bengaluru and is a two-day event that will end on Sunday. Between whom did the bidding war for the opening batsman of Australia take place?

Warner was taken by Delhi because 6.25 crores.

Earlier in the auction, India opener Shikhar Dhawan was bought by Punjab Kings 8.25 crores. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin bought by Rajasthan Royals 50 million. Australia’s Test captain Pat Cummins was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). 7.25 crores.

Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada bought by Punjab Kings 9.25 crores. Kiwi pacer Trent Boult sold to Rajasthan Royals 8 crores. KKR picked Shreyas Iyer 12.25 crores. India’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami selected by Gujarat Titans 6.25 crores.

South African batsman Faf du Plessis selected by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) 7 crores. Lucknow Super Giants picks Quinton de Kock 6.75 crores.

A total of 600 cricketers will be auctioned in the auctions on Saturday and Sunday.

INR 2 crore is the highest reserve price and 48 players have chosen to place themselves in this category.

There are 20 players in the auction list with a reserve price of Rs 1.5 crore while 34 players are in the list of cricketers with a reserve price of Rs 1 crore.

A total of 377 Indian players and 223 overseas players are set to participate in the action-packed IPL 2022 Player Auction in Bengaluru.
