IPL Auction 2022 Updates: Jofra Archer to join Mumbai Indians for ₹8 crore

Indian Premier League 2022: England pacer Jofra Archer sold to Mumbai Indians at a heavy price 8 crores. The base price of the fast bowler was 2 crores. The two-day mega IPL 2022 auction that began on Saturday saw the franchises go all out to buy the fast bowlers and they were seen picking both Indian and foreign fast bowlers at hefty prices.

Jofra celebrated his entry into the Mumbai Indians team with an emoji.

A tweet from the IPL’s official handle said, “Jofra Archer sold to Mippleton for Rs 8 crore and there was applause in the auction hall here. Mippleton brought the England cricketer for Rs 8 crore.”

Deepak Chahar has been the most expensive fast bowler of all time, who was bought by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a huge price. 14 crores.

Earlier, England batsman Liam Livingstone also took a wicket. 11.50 crore deal with Punjab Kings. The franchise also bought West Indies fast bowler Odeon Smith. 6 crores on the second day of IPL Mega Auction.

Meanwhile, among the foreign players who received huge amount during the auction, Lockie Ferguson of New Zealand got 10 crores from Gujarat Titans, Kagiso Rabada who was paid. 9.25 crores by Punjab Kings, Trent Boult is getting 8 crores from RR and Pat Cummins 7.25 crores from Kolkata Knight Riders.
