She was married to industrialist Farooq K Irani, who started Ideal Jawa (India), a company that sold Jawa motorcycles and Yazdi Road King bikes. She moved to Mysore in 1951. The couple had two sons – Ryan Irani, Kairis F Irani and a daughter – Morvarid Fernandez.
He began his political career in 1968 after being enrolled in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, where he served as a member till 1978. Between 1993 and 1995, he served in the state. managing committee of Mysore University.
In 1995, he was nominated for Parliament10th of Lok Sabha For one of the seats reserved for Anglo-Indians. Irani also served as the Vice President of the Anglo-Indian Association.
A release said that Irani built the Chamundi Children’s Home in Mysore, which is still functioning today.
