Tehran: A teenage girl was murdered in Iran by her father, who shot her in the heart, local media said on Friday.
Women activists said the death was a so-called “honor killing” in an ultra-Orthodox country, when a father confronted his 16-year-old daughter after meeting a youth in the southern city of Noorabad.
The girl fled to her grandmother’s house after an argument with her father, who then confronted her.
