Ferrando returned to take on his former side FC Goa as head coach of ATKMB and Colaco (23rd) gifted him a fine strike in the first half. It was his fifth goal of the season, the most by any Indian this season. Krishna (56th) took a 2-0 lead early in the second half but Jorge Ortiz accidentally pulled one back in the 81st minute, but it was not enough in the end.

The result meant that ATKMB continued their resurgence under Ferrando, moving up to third on the points table with 14 points from eight matches. Meanwhile, FC Goa finished eighth with the same number of points from eight matches.

Impressive Devendra Murgaokar warmed up with an opening effort after Amarinder Singh’s gloves put his marker into the nutmeg and got the better way to shoot on goal. Amarinder saw the ball all the way and covered it.

ATKMB, however, were enjoying possession of the lion’s share and found their reward in the 23rd minute despite a moment of individual brilliance.

Sparkling Colaco, causing Goa all sorts of trouble for some time, got hit on the ball on the left channel near the halfway mark. The 23-year-old took a few steps forward and then fired off a rocket of a hit that went past the keeper and into the back of the net. In disbelief, Ferrando had his hands on his head, his mouth wide open as Hare and Maroon rode forward riding that piece of magic.

At the half-hour mark, Jorge Ortiz forced Amarinder for a good save from a free-kick, but the half had already gone to Liston for his fine strike, and ATKMB entered the break to lead 1–0. Did.

The Mariners doubled their advantage soon after the restart, with Krishna driving home a Hugo Baumus lob from the edge of the box for the first time. Goa never really got hold of the game after going down two goals before Amarinder’s mistake helped them back into the game.

As the ball went into the net, Ortiz’s weak left leg was inexplicably dropped by Amarinder. Goa got the better of ATKMB and secured three points.
