ISL 2021-22: SC East Bengal, Jamshedpur FC make a strong start to campaign

After showing disappointing performances last season, both SC East Bengal and Jamshedpur FC stressed on the importance of winning the first match as they opened their campaigns in the Indian Super League here on Sunday.

East Bengal will be determined to beat last season’s demons, winning only three out of 20 matches to finish ninth.

Jamshedpur FC has slipped to the sixth position after seven wins and the same number of losses last season. The Red Minors, however, missed out on a place in the semi-finals by just four points.

Under coach Jose Manuel Diaz, East Bengal are looking exciting in the pre-season and Tilak will be keen to repeat it against Jamshedpur when their season resumes at the ground.

He said that SC East Bengal will leave no stone unturned in their endeavor to score three points from their opener.
