The Anirudh Thapa-led side will look to build on their confidence from their previous match by going into the match with a win against East Bengal FC. Mumbai City, on the other hand, travels to Chennai after sharing points with ATK Mohun Bagan.

Chennaiyin head coach Thomas Bradrick said his side is wary of Mumbai’s threat and urged its players to put pressure on the visitors to take advantage.

“Mumbai is a big club. They have good strength and qualities. We want to stress them out so that they make mistakes and don’t make good decisions. And we have to take it to our advantage. We don’t need to give them space. We have analyzed them and will try to give our best,” the German coach said while addressing the media during the pre-match press conference on Friday.

Marina Machan will miss the services of her previous victory hero Wafa Hakhmaneshi, who will sit out after being sent off against East Bengal. The Iranian star was kicked perfectly in the corner by Akash Sangwan for the lone goal of the match. Haryana-born Sangwan, 27, who also attended the press conference, said it was a really good moment for him to offer help.

The coach further highlighted the unavailability of Kwame Karikri, who has been ruled out of the upcoming match due to injury. “Naser” [Abdenasser El Khayati] There is an option for tomorrow. Akash will replace Narayan [Das]And we’re preparing Julius Ducker to play in the position [of Hakhamaneshi],” He added.
