Mumbai City FC’s Ameya Ranade has recovered from a knee injury but will miss the remainder of the 2022-23 Indian Super League season

Mumbai City FC defender Amey Ranade will miss the remainder of the 2022-23 Indian Super League season despite recovering from a knee injury, the club confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.

“Mumbai City can confirm that Ameya Ranawade will miss the remainder of the 2022-23 Hero Indian Super League season. The 24-year-old defender suffered a knee injury in the semi-final of the 2022 Durand Cup against Mohammedan SC and has since had a successful surgery,” the club said in a statement.

“Ame is currently recovering well and will continue his rehabilitation with the club. We hope Ameya recovers soon and hope he is back in action soon.”

Mumbai City are third on the points table with two wins and as many draws from four games and will next take on ATK Mohun Bagan at the Mumbai Football Arena on November 6.
