Income Tax officials arrived at Sonu Sood’s residence in Mumbai on Thursday morning, a day after surveying at least six properties in Mumbai and Lucknow, all of whom were linked to Bollywood Actor.
According to news agency PTI, the visit of the IT officials, which was not termed as a raid, was in connection with the probe into alleged tax evasion. An immovable property deal is also under the scrutiny of the Income Tax Department.
Sood had parted ways with the law earlier this year when the BMC filed a complaint against him accusing him of converting a six-storey residential building in Juhu into a hotel without necessary permissions. Sonu Sood had filed a case against the BMC notice for the alleged illegal construction. When the Bombay High Court rejected Sonu Sood’s appeal, he had moved the Supreme Court.
The actor recently became the brand ambassador of the Delhi government’s mentorship program for school students. Sonu Sood reportedly refused to answer questions on the possibility of joining politics after that meeting, especially Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
However, in another interview, the actor clarified that reports in a section of the media highlighting his political ambitions were “false and baseless”. He said that there is no interest in his family and his politics and he is not getting involved in any politics. Team.
