ITDA project officer says that roads will be laid for settlements in the agency at a cost of ₹164.24 crore

Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) project officer Ronanki Gopalakrishna has said that roads for ‘roadless’ habitations will be constructed in the agency areas of the district under the ‘Mission Concept Paderu’ program at an estimated cost of Rs.164.24 crore.

The Project Officer held a virtual meeting with the officials of Tribal Welfare Department, Panchayat Raj and MG National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA) from Paderu on Monday.

Shri Gopalkrishna said that administrative approval had been obtained from the District Collector for carrying out works worth Rs 120.24 crore under Mission Concept Paderu and Rs 44 crore under Left Wing Extremism (LWE). He directed the engineering officers to prepare technical estimates and start work from February 1.

He said that bridges, culverts and drinking water schemes would be constructed under the mission project. He advised the officials to ensure that there is no duplication of work. He directed the AEEs to conduct inspections before commencing the work and advised them to take the help of engineering assistants at the village secretariat.
