Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]Nov 13 (ANI): New mother Sonam Kapoor, who welcomed her son Vayu on August 20, opened up about her diet which she followed during her pregnancy days.

From carrots, sweet potatoes in vegetables to mangoes, bananas in fruits, Sonam has included a lot of nutritious foods in her diet.

Here is the list of food items shared by Sonam

Vegetables: Carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, spinach, cooked greens, tomatoes and red bell peppers (for vitamin A and potassium)

Fruits: Cantaloupe, honeydew, mango, prune, banana, apricot, orange, and red or pink grapefruit (for potassium)

Dairy: fat-free or low-fat yogurt, oat milk, soy milk, coconut milk (I went dairy-free, because I’m lactose intolerant) buttermilk, paneer (cottage cheese)

Cereals: Ready-to-eat cereals/cooked cereals (for iron and folic acid) and I’m also gluten-free. I found out it was easy on my stomach

Proteins: beans, lentils and peas; nuts and seeds; Chicken lamb salmon, trout, herring, sardines and pollock etc.

Liquids are most important! Water water water

“It is important to clean organic produce (avoid exposure to pesticides) and cook it properly,” Sonam wrote on her Instagram story.

Sonam also said that “It is a myth when people say eat for two.”

“It’s a myth when people say eat for two! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If you’re giving birth to a baby, please be smart when eating out. You only need 350 calories more,” he said.

Sonam and her husband Anand Ahuja welcomed their baby boy Vayu in August this year. The proud parents announced the news through a cute message template that read, “On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with head bows and hearts.
