“It’s Like A New Year’s”: Man Marries First Time At 95 In Touch Ceremony

A 95-year-old man has shown that it is never too late to find true love as he tied the knot for the first time in his life after finding the woman of his dreams. according to this Wales OnlineJulianne Moyle first met his 84-year-old wife Valerie Williams at a church 23 years ago, however, as recently as he proposed in February he didn’t get down on one knee.

Now, the couple got married on May 19 at the same church they met in Cardiff, UK. The ceremony was held at Calvary Baptist Church and about 40 friends and family attended the service.

“She is very kind and giving you information,” said Mr Julian of the new Ms Valerie, before turning to her and adding: “I am looking forward to your companionship.”

Speaking about her feelings on her big day, Ms Valerie said “I can’t believe it,” while Mr Julian described it as “wonderful” and “like a new year”. The couple said they are looking forward to “just being together”. They also said they would celebrate their honeymoon with a trip to Mr Julian’s homeland, Australia, later this year.

Moreover, when asked how it feels to finally get married, the 95-year-old quipped that he doesn’t remember any other marriages. Mr. Julian continued, “It’s like Janus, who had one face in front of his head and the other on the back of his head, so that he could look into the future and the past. It’s like a new year, isn’t it? That’s why I’m with you.” I’m looking for a mate.”

Ms Valerie, on the other hand, described her husband as a “good gentleman”, while Mr Julian described his wife as a “sympatico”. “She is so kind and giving – loving and giving,” said the 95-year-old.

According to Wales OnlineMr Julian moved to the UK from Australia in 1954 and was the first soloist at the Welsh National Opera between 1970 and 1982. As for her previous career, an opera singer also performed on her wedding day.
