Jaishankar: External Affairs Minister Jaishankar visited Dubai Expo; Slovakia meets Cyprus, Luxembourg counterparts – Times of India

Dubai: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar visited on saturday India Pavilion Feather Dubai 2020 Expo where he met his counterparts Slovakia, Cyprus And Luxembourg and discussed strengthening cooperation in key areas, including healthcare.
During his visit to the Bharat Mandap, Jaishankar praised it for crossing the 300,000 footfall mark so far.
“Visted the #IndiaPavilion @expo2020dubai. The 300,000 footfalls we had yesterday speaks for itself,” the minister said on Twitter.
The India Pavilion at the Dubai Expo, which was inaugurated on October 1, crossed two lakh people on November 3, becoming one of the most-visited pavilions.
During the visit, Jaishankar met Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Ivan Korko.
“Glad to meet Slovakia FM @Ivankorcok at the Dubai #Expo2020. We look forward to strengthening our association with the Visegrad Group,” said Jaishankar.
He also met Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides at the expo.
“Great to see the Foreign Minister of Cyprus @Christodulides in the #IndiaPavilion at the Dubai #Expo2020,” the minister said in a tweet.
Separately, Jaishankar met the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Esselborn and discussed bilateral cooperation in the health sector with him.
“Pleasant to meet with Luxembourg’s FM Jean Esselborn in Dubai. Discussed our health sector cooperation,” he said on Twitter after the meeting.
Last week, Consul General of India in Dubai and Deputy Commissioner General of India at Expo 2020 Dubai, General Aman Puri said, “The month of October was a huge success for the India Pavilion. We saw a strong visitor turnout and expect this momentum to continue in the coming months.”
Expo 2020 is being hosted by Dubai, UAE from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
