James Wan-produced horror thriller gets series order at Peacock

Filmmaker James Wan, who has made a name for himself Magical And saw franchise, going back to its roots and Peacock is set to executive produce a new horror thriller series.

According to hollywood reporterNBCUniversal greenlights show written by streamer yellowstone Writer Ian McCulloch.

The untitled series is inspired by Robert McCammon’s 1988 novel sting, The series will follow a disparate group of people on a ranch who must come together to face a mysterious threat.

EL Katz The Haunting of Bally Manor Fame will direct the pilot episode and is also attached as an executive producer.

NBCUniversal Television and Streaming President of Scripted Content, Lisa Katz, said the team is excited to bring an “adrenalized thriller” about a group of people overcoming life’s adversities.

“We know this upcoming drama will be in expert hands with James Wan, EL Katz, Ian McCulloch, our partners at UCP, and will definitely be a binge-worthy mystery for Peacock audiences,” she said.

Wan’s Atomic Monster Company and Universal Studios Group are the production banners behind the UCP series.

Michael Cleary and Rob Hackett of Atomic Monsters and writer McCammon also serve as executive producers on the series alongside McCulloch.
