Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI)New Delhi has decided to reopen its campus in a phased manner. In-person classes for postgraduate students will reopen first. Final year postgraduate students will be allowed to attend in-person classes from March 2, while they are studying in the last semester of undergraduate classes from March 15. Classes for first and second year students will continue online.

In those attending offline classes, it is mandatory to carry a negative RTPCR report along with a valid ID card. University accommodation will not be available for most of the students as the hostels are being renovated. Also, seats are limited in both boys’ and girls’ hostels. The officials have asked the dean to prepare a fresh list of students who will have access to the hostels. It will be smaller than the current list. The students were asked to leave the hostel due to Covid-19. Students attending classes individually including hostel-dwellers will have to follow the COVID-19 protocol including social distancing.

The Delhi Disaster Management Association (DDMA) has allowed universities and colleges in the National Capital Region to Work in offline mode with 100% efficiency, The decision comes after students reported loss of learning and a drop in the number of COVID-19 cases.
