  • Notably, Manipur JD(U) legislators switched sides almost a month after Nitish Kumar ended the alliance with the BJP and formed a new government in Bihar with a grand alliance of RJD, Congress, HAM and Left parties.
  • Meanwhile, Kumar said the party’s Manipur legislators had confirmed their presence at the meeting, and had earlier supported the JD(U)’s decision to quit the NDA.
  • JD(U) national president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan alleged that the BJP did in Manipur what it had done earlier in Delhi, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
